In this episode, we role-play as screenwriters for the popular television show Black Mirror. We brought a pitch for a new episode of Black Mirror related to computing ethics or artificial intelligence.
Pitch 1: High Impact
What if a brain implant was created to ‘read’ your brain, feed your thoughts into a generative model so it could speak for you? We explore a world where communication, especially in the workplace, becomes automated.
Pitch 2: Beyond the Grave
What if when a loved one died, by giving a company access to all of their social media accounts, you could recreate their personality? This pitch touches on issues of grief, consent, and data privacy.
